How has Valrhona been treating problems at the source thanks to Fabriq for the past 3 years?

At Valrhona, we are 250 permanent employees in production, spread over three geographical sites. We were already monitoring our performance using Excel files or whiteboards that we commented on every day.

We didn't have the data, the history was sometimes missing. It was difficult to communicate between workshops or with other departments.

Before Fabriq, I had problems managing my performance because I did not have very reliable indicators. I didn't have a very legible progress of my actions and the Velleda tool, the whiteboard, was not very adapted. We had a multitude of Excel files that did not necessarily communicate indicators right and left.

We were indeed using emails, Teams, etc., but this channel was preventing us from being really efficient in our actions. But this channel prevented us from being really efficient in our actions.

We came to the conclusion that we needed a new tool to manage performance. And the digital tool seemed to us to be the right way. We decided to do a pilot workshop, which we called POC, on a workshop. So we implemented the tool Fabriq for six months. Based on the very positive feedback we had in terms of performance management, we decided to extend this pilot workshop to all our 18 other workshops.

Fabriq has allowed us to bring the communication together in one place. It's tickets that live and switch and really communication is really made efficient.

I use the Routine which is a tool that allows me to follow the different points that I have built myself, whether they are safety points, quality points, or deadline points. During the day, I use Fabriq to animate the daily point. My teams also use this tool to enter data and to animate them, and I use the tickets a lot. The whole team is involved.

Fabriq has accompanied us in the evolution of our processes. The tickets themselves have evolved since the beginning. Now we always have the possibility of adding processes inside these tickets to have more specific tickets. We can add a QQOQCP, a 5M, etc. Compared to our problem solving, it's true that it's extremely advantageous.

The Fabriq tool is really a very complete tool with many features.

The first thing is that it allows us to concatenate certain indicators, i.e. if I want to have the sum of the accidents on several workshops, it is much easier thanks to the digital tool. We also have an action plan in one place. This tool is used by both production and all other support services. In one place, we centralize all the information. This is also where all our data history is kept.

Fabriq is really a tool that will adapt itself according to the inputs we can provide. We can have different process, product, etc. evolutions.

The benefits measured by my teams are the speed with which actions are resolved. And then, the Fabriq application has already allowed me to create a standard that was the Routine that I didn't have before and that really allows me to detect daily anomalies.

This digital tool is so powerful that we can add photos and attachments. It allows us to enrich the tool and make it much more visual than before. Since the deployment of Fabriq, we have noticed significant gains, whether in terms of time saved, efficiency, visibility or communication. To communicate, inter workshops, you just have to click on a button and no longer have to send an email or go and see the person. So we have gained in efficiency, we have gained in readability. From now on, the fact that we can see the indicators immediately in red allows us to focus on the problems and to target our actions. The field visits allow us to guarantee the standards and therefore very visually, on a daily basis, we can see if there are any deviations and if so, to treat them.

We have saved time, we have gained in communication, we have gained in reactivity by treating the problems at the source. Today, it is an indispensable tool that we use on a daily basis.
