Attracting young talent to 4.0 factories: how to do it?

Digital natives, the generation of all challenges for Industry 4.0

The industry is increasingly faced with recruitment difficulties, especially with the new generations entering the job market. Very sensitive to new technologies and horizontal management, they have different professional aspirations than their elders. In particular, they want to work in smaller structures, have flexibility, autonomy and quick decision cycles.

Discover in our dedicated podcast series the techniques of several manufacturers and industry experts to attract young talent to their factories. Recruitment, team management, talent attraction, we talk about everything that revolves around Industry 4.0!

These episodes were shot during our Fabriq Tour 2021, discover all our factory visits in video here.

Yann Jaubert outlines a new vision of recruitment for Industry 4.0

This episode is the first in a long series of podcasts dedicated to Industry 4.0.
Yann Jaubert, President of Alfi Technologies and French Fab Ambassador, explains his vision of recruiting young talent and talks about the steps he is taking to feminize his teams. Yann also tells us about the steps that some cities are taking to encourage young people to work in factories and to facilitate access, such as carpooling between colleagues.
How do factories go about it? What means do they use? Are the talents sought after the same as those sought 10 years ago in industry? What are the differences? So many fascinating subjects that we advise you to listen to in this episode!

Georges Van Billoen militates for a management centered on the human being

ou are looking to adopt a different management style in your plant to attract new talent?

A former management lecturer at Arts et MĂ©tiers, Georges defines himself as an activist for management transformation. đŸ’Ș

In his book 📖 "Diary of Another Rescue: When a Company Rises from the Ashes" released in 2017, he explains that he implemented human-centered management at Corys when he was CEO. By having implemented this benevolent and horizontal management, the company's talents were therefore released little by little.

In this podcast, Georges explains how he took over the company, attracted new talents and his vision of benevolent management in the factory. In short, a fascinating podcast that we recommend you to listen to.

Furio Scolaro gives his definition of a talent in 2022

In the post-covid era, factories ETI as well as large groups are struggling to recruit young talent in their sector. 🏭

More than an economic issue, recruiting new talent is also a social issue for the future of the companies and cities these factories inhabit. 🏘
For several years, studies have shown that young people, who are very sensitive to digital tools, are looking for a job that has meaning so they can be fulfilled. But in 2022, how is a talent defined?

How do factories go about attracting them?

For our latest episode, we spoke with Furio Scolaro, Executive Director at F3TEC, a foundry based in the Grand-Est region. He talks about the steps he is taking to attract these new generations to the plants.
